I could see the unmistakable outline of an airship over the San Mateo Bridge

As I was about to head home from work today, I decided to take a quick look at the tracking page to see if the Zeppelin was flying today. I saw that it had apparently just taken off, and instead of heading up the peninsula like she usually does, she was heading towards the east bay. As I walked to my car from where I work in Hayward, I could see the unmistakable outline of an airship over the San Mateo Bridge. As I drove up 880 towards where I live in Oakland it seemed as though I had a Zeppelin as an escort. On a hunch that it might be setting down at the Oakland Airport, I exited at 98th where I took this photo. It soon became obvious that my hunch was incorrect, and I opted to take back roads the rest of the way home. I watched as the ship headed off into the distance towards Emeryville, wondering what it would be like to be watching the traffic from 1500 feet in the air.

As a matter of fact, we *were* headed for Emeryville.

However we start service from Oakland International tomorrow! We'll be there Friday-Sunday. Book early, book often!
