Our 3 year old son, Keenan, is a huge airship fanatic. So when we heard the Eureka was going to be down at Long Beach, there was only one thing to do - go on a Zeppelin hunt!
Here's the successful, stalwart hunter with the mighty airship sleeping in the distance.
Thank you Airship Ventures!

A great rainbow polka-dotted outfit

I took this digital photo at the Vertical Challenge Helicopter Air Show, at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, Calif., on June 20, 2009. I saw this little girl in a great rainbow polka-dotted outfit sitting atop her dad's shoulders and I knew I had to get a shot of her with something unique in the air. Airship Ventures' airship with the rainbow balloon-decorated "Up!" logo was that perfect "something." What a nice, fortuitous pairing. The only thing marring the airship, on its right, in my photo was the big, gray dust spot on my camera lens -- but I think it can be "Photoshopped" out of the image. Thank you for piloting your airship out there for us all to view and enjoy at the show.

Hello Neighbor!
Hello Neighbor! Just one week after he got to help unveil the name of the Zeppelin, Owen got to see it fly right over his apartment building. A little while later while eating breakfast, Owen's parents were surprised to hear him shout "BIG!", and looked up to see the Eureka fly past their window. I think Owen is going to enjoy the weekends when you fly out of Oakland Airport.-- Chris in Oakland

Flying a kite at Crissy Field

My 4 year old was flying a kite at Crissy Field on 11/16 and saw the Airship approaching. He was awed and a bit worried the Airship would tangle up in the kite string. He spent a lot of time pointing at it and being generally excited. You need to offer a special "kids rate" for tours.

Hopefully he will remember the experience of unveiling the name of the ship for years to come

Owen had a wonderful time today as he joined the festivities at Moffett Field. Hopefully he will remember the experience of unveiling the name of the ship for years to come. We would like to thank everyone at Airship Ventures for such wonderful hospitality, and for the opportunity to participate in the event.
