On February 20, I spent the afternoon watching the Eureka fly overhead. I'm glad I was able to catch it before its annual maintenance.

Hollywood Beach, outside Oxnard, CA

We live on beautiful Hollywood Beach, outside Oxnard, CA. This morning we looked out over the ocean and saw this graceful majestic blimp slowly hugging the coast line. My husband and I flew to our sun porch to get a better look. My husband reached for his binocculars and read the name on the blimp. The weather was perfect: calm air, clear skies. The view from the blimp must have been spectacular! I promised my husband that I would google airshipventure.com to find out all about this. What a great idea!

I found out track the ship from facebook and realize it's behind my backyard!!!, grab my camera and start to following around by driving for 2 hours and taking multiple shots over San Pedro / Long Beach / Signal Hills and finally at Long Beach Airport!

Love Heart Spotted from Signal Hill

On a Sunday outing for my aging mother I took her over to Long Beach where she used to teach school. Seeing the airship cross our path as we approached the Long Beach circle, I chose to go to the top of Signal Hill just beyond it to see if I could get a few pictures.
